Virtual model of your space
Prior to taking residency at Scott Data Center, our staff can work with you to create a virtual model of your space and your equipment loads and rack positions. Utilizing this model, we run usage scenarios and airflow models to ensure that the space has been optimized for cooling and that your equipment will be properly conditioned.
Using high end computing, a model of air flow throughout the datacenter space is constructed to see air paths and temperatures as air moves throughout the space and returns to the rooms CRAC units.
Air temperatures are calculated at various elevations throughout the space so that engineering staff can see potential hot spots and design around them.
Air paths and pressures are calculated under the raised floor to optimize tile placement for cooling.
