Scott Data Center is committed to providing superior protection for our clients’ data — it’s how their businesses continue to move forward. To stay on the cutting edge of data protection, we’ve moved forward, too.
As some of you might remember, Scott Data Center began with 50,000 square feet of space in 2006, with another 30,000 square feet added in 2008. The renovations have continued over the last few years:
- In July 2012, we completed the renovation of 30,000 square feet of existing data center. The project also included the addition of a 20 megawatt central plant, adding significant power and cooling capabilities. With the addition, the renovated wing now has more than 200 watts per square foot of density capability — and brings the total Scott Data Center square footage to more than 110,000 square feet.
- As a result of the 2012 renovations, we also earned the honor of Tier III Certification in both Design and Construction from the Uptime Institute, making Scott Data Center at that time, only the second multi-tenant facility to earn this achievement.
- And this past July, we completed renovation of 25,000 square feet of computer space in the south wing of the existing facility. With this renovation, the south wing now has the same power and cooling density capabilities as the previously renovated area— well over 200 watts per square foot.
- Scott Data Center also expanded the carrier area providing for space to accommodate 14 carriers in this purpose-built facility.
More redundancy, more power, and better cooling — it’s how we move forward in order to continue to provide unstoppable protection.
